I like this movie. Think of the Marvel Thor movies as an alternate universe. Spoiler alert! You might not want to take young heathen children who might be confused about the difference between the Marvel Asgardians and the Aesir.
It could be upsetting for little Asatru kids to watch a god they honor get killed. That aside, this is a really enjoyable movie. The effects were seamless. The plot twists never stopped, right up until the end which left me scratching my head and wondering if I missed a clue somewhere.

The film has some semi-big names Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and is not short on eye candy, but the acting is truly bad at times and the story and directing are disappointing.
I would watch with caution as most viewers will begin to be disappointed after about 45 minutes of film time. It starts out intriguing, but really gets out of hand quickly and becomes unbelievable and laughable.
